Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix realized early on that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she attended the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. A year later Felix won the first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to win the 200 meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
