Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that at the time. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks after her first attempt. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. The following year, she won her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in all events.
